I managed to make it to Fabtech 2012 here in Vegas last November. It’s the second time I’ve attended the first being the last time Fabtech was in Vegas three years ago. I saw several things that I’d like. Here are a few that I was able to buy after seeing them at the show.

Profax Platinum Compact MIG gun with flex nozzle
With a 15′ lead and flex head it makes it easier for me to work around the car, particularly in a cage.

Magswitch 200 amp Magnetic Work Clamp
I’ve not been pleased with the regular work clamps for cage work. This mag clamp I can stick to the tubing, firewall or chassis with ease.

Stronghand Angle Clamps
These are great, I got a few of them and will add more. A good range of adjustability and easy to use.

Back to the Spec Miata

It’s been a pretty crappy last year and half or so. Last summer the Miata project stalled out and I haven’t been able to get back to it in ernest until just after the first of this year. I need to get it together so I can either race it or sell it. The next project up is a trail truck for my wife and I.
